Inside the Bungalow: taking care of people
TweetLast Friday, I went to TEDxPhoenix at the Mesa Arts Center. Since I had some time beforehand, I thought I’d head out to Mesa early and avoid some traffic. After doing some crowdsourced research, I found a coffeehouse/yoga/spiritual center located in downtown Mesa called Inside the Bungalow. I spent an enjoyable couple of hours sipping coffee and getting work done there before heading over to MAC.
Unfortunately, I left my three-outlet Belkin travel surge suppressor at the table I was sitting at. I didn’t even realize it until Saturday, so I called and talked to Betty at Inside the Bungalow. She was very pleasant and told me that they’d remembered me using it and they had it set aside for me to pick up. Score one big point for ITB!
I wasn’t able to get out there to pick it up until today on my way to Dev Ignite. Before I left work this afternoon, a tweet showed up from @ITBMesaAZ reminding me that they had it. I didn’t even know they had a Twitter. I was impressed that they’d taken the time to find me. I know it doesn’t much effort, especially since I’d tweeted about going there and I’d given them my name when I called about the surge suppressor. But the fact that they paid attention to who was tweeting about them says that they’re using social media channels the way they should be used: connect with your customers and solve their problems.
Thanks, Inside the Bungalow!
