Musings on my CenPhoCamp presentation

I spent some time thinking about CenPhoCamp and my presentation. This post summarizes some of the points which were discussed in my presentation. Also I embedded my slide show, which is hosted on SlideShare.

CenPhoCamp was great, but we gotta keep going

The connections made and the discussions shared at CenPhoCamp were fantastic, but that all needs to turn into action in order to really make a difference in Phoenix.

A decade of Tiger

Tiger Woods was voted Athlete of the Decade by the AP. Regardless of his affairs, he deserves the award. What he does off the golf course shouldn’t affect how people view his game, and people shouldn’t expect the rest of his life to be perfect.

I’m a Christmas light Scrooge!

Christmas lights are a total freakin’ scam designed to waste your time and take your money. Here’s why:

Putting any lights on anything requires a minimum of two hours, and that’s if you’re lucky. Somehow, even throwing some net lights on a bush takes forever to get them on and looking decent.
They’re a pain in the [...]

Sysadmins aren’t your beotches

Sysadmins keep your stuff running. Treat them well and don’t piss them off.
